Ottenwess Law is proud to announce that our Founding Partner, David M. Ottenwess, has been selected to the 2022 Michigan Super Lawyers list. This marks David’s 16th year of receiving this distinction. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
David concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation matters, including professional liability claims, general healthcare law defense, executive employment matters, commercial contracts, employment contracts, labor, RICO, constitutional and election law. For over 35 years, David has successfully litigated cases in Federal District Court as well as in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Montcalm, Saginaw, Genesee and Washtenaw County Circuit Courts. He has successfully tried cases before juries in Federal and State Court on matters involving medical malpractice, contract disputes, Federal and State Polygraph Protection Acts, employment discrimination (Title VII), industrial accident and trade mark infringement. Because of his trial experience in high stakes matters, David is also retained in other significant, complex litigation, arbitration, and negotiations, including termination of executive employment agreements and related matters.
