Ottenwess Law is proud to announce that our Managing Partner, Stephanie Ottenwess, has been selected to receive Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2022 “Influential Women of Law” distinction. Stephanie is among 32 attorneys and judges who will be honored at a luncheon on Sept. 23 at the Detroit Marriott in Troy where one member of the 2022 class will also be named “Woman of the Year.” MiLW, a leading publication serving the state’s legal industry, will also recognize this year’s honorees in a special section of the newspaper that will be distributed Sept. 26.

MLW editorial staff members selected this year’s honorees based on their excellent work on behalf of clients and within the judicial system, as well as their commitment to the communities they serve and service to the profession. The honorees are inspiring and accomplished leaders, who serve as mentors to others, and they contribute significant time and effort to volunteerism and/or pro bono initiatives.

Stephanie is a health law attorney who provides counsel to clients in transactional matters and compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, including federal Stark and state self-referral laws, federal and state anti-kickback laws, HIPAA and state privacy laws. She has a special interest in telemedicine and has counseled health care providers in providing and billing for telemedicine and teleradiology services. Stephanie also represents executives and physicians in employment contract negotiations and related matters.

In addition to the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Influential Women of Law honor, Stephanie has received several other legal honors in her career, including Top 100 Leading Women Lawyers in Michigan, Leading Lawyer in Health Law, DBusiness Top Lawyer, Leading Women Michigan Lawyers and one of the Women Who Move Detroit.
